Good when combined with Argireline
From all the searching I have done regarding what actually is Matrixyl and what does it do, It seems that when combined with Argireline there is benefit in reducing static wrinkles. I found out that Matrixyl is a combination of Palmitoyl Tripeptide 1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide 7. And both of those are in The Ordinary Multi-peptide and The Ordinary Multi-peptide+ Copper serums, along with other proven ingredients. I think these 2 serums give you more bang for your buck. And if you are using Argireline it seems that you get best results when also using Matrixyl. I was searching for information on Argireline when I found all the information regarding Matrixyl.

no wow effect
Matrixyl was one to start my anti aganing fight. Nice texture that absorbs quickly. 3 drops is enough. Personally i did not noticed change in my skin and the only benefit i was given was moisturising. It didnt change my skin enough to make me buy another bottle. i think i will try copper peptides nod

Attention Tretinoin/Retin-A Users!
I recently upgraded my assault on my fine lines and uneven skin tone (thanks to not wearing sunscreen in my younger years) by adding Tretinoin 0.1%. I was having lots of dryness and flaking so I began to mix TO Matrixyl 10% + HA and am shocked by the results! Using this combo I've seen a 90% improvement in just one week. The only area flaking is the side of my nose, which makes sense as this skin is very thin. Also has drastically improved sensitivity from the Tretinoin. I'll never go without this. Took one star off due to the thickness/tackiness which isn't great under makeup.
